We’ve never been about one thing, which is ironically obvious because there are two of us. As twins, we have spent our whole lives grouped together as twins, sisters, roommates, best friends, and teammates.  However, as individuals, we could not be more opposite. We complement each other, disagree a lot, and somehow still find out how to bring the best out of each other.  As the youngest two in the family and undisputedly the most high maintenance, our lives have been intermingled with sports, fashion, learning, traveling, and all sorts of other activities parents can throw a child at in order to keep them preoccupied. Born and raised in North Idaho, going to college together in South Carolina, and now living on the opposite sides of the country, we want to share our passion for individuality expressed through a love of fashion. Not trying to be confined to one thing, we enjoy a little bit of everything, or in general, the art of living. We love fashion, coffee, vintage, fitness, yoga, sewing, photography, food. Through this blog, we hope we can define ourselves as we set out on the beginning of our career paths. As advocates for individuality, we want to encourage people to be nobody else but themselves. 

 

 

More systematically, we are Kaity & Kasey. Youngest of four children, born on the same day in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where we lived every waking year of our lives until we left for college. April of the year we were born my mom bought a clothing store in the lobby of the world famous Coeur d’Alene resort. Pregnant with twins she opened her first clothing store, Marie’s Boutique, and when we turned 11 we got the chance to help her open her second clothing store, Marmalade. Since the age of 13 we’ve accompanied my mom to some of the biggest trade shows amongst buyers from Nordstroms, Anthropologie, Amazon and ModCloth. Learning in the same atmosphere with buyer who are known to “set trends” with their million dollar buying budgets we aimed at bring the same type of inspiration and creativity to our small town in North Idaho.
